This category contains all the teacher training and Professional Development modules needed by Awesome teachers. 

This course provides orientation to the teachers at Awesome English Language Center as well as introduces them to the evaluation system we have set up that is designed to help teachers be the best they can be as well as allow AELC to provide more effective professional development opportunities to its teachers and staff. 

This course has 4 modules that are designed around Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching and the 4 domains the framework outlines. We have not included every aspect of the framework. We have chosen aspects of the framework that we feel work best for us. 

The objectives for this course are:
Module 1 - Planning and Preparation 
  • By the time you finish this module, you should be able to use the teacher evaluation rubric to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses in your own abilities to plan and prepare for your lessons according to the criteria established at Awesome English Language Center.
Module 2 - Classroom Environment
  • By the time you finish this module, you should be able to use the teacher evaluation rubric to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses in your own abilities to organize and manage your classroom according to the criteria established at Awesome English Language Center.
Module 3 - Instruction
  • By the time you finish this module, you should be able to use the teacher evaluation rubric to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses in your own abilities to provide instruction according to the criteria established at Awesome English Language Center.
Module 4 - Professionalism
  • By the time you finish this module, you should be able to use the teacher evaluation rubric to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses in your own professionalism according to the criteria established at Awesome English Language Center.
